Terrorist in Mali

    There were 3 Chinese killed in the terrorist attack., which shocked everyone in China.
On the local time Nov 20th,  7 terrorists with AK47 rushed into the West Africa country Mali’s capital Bamako international chain hotel Radission for a shooting, took the 170 people in the hotel as hostage, only the people who can recite the Koran could be released.

   After the accident , Mali police launched the first storm and rescue 80 hostages. Event killed 27 people, including 3 Chinese citizens, which are all worked for the China Railway Construction Group. The 3 Chinese were there to discuss the cooperation with Mali ‘s Transportation Ministry.

    As “just emerging from a war”, the Director of the North Area Develop Office Mr. Mahmoud admitted that Mali is still facing with many security problems, but he also want to emphasize for Chinese don’t loose confidence to Mali, and he pointed out that after this terrorist attack, security measures around Mali will be further strengthened.
He said Mali has always been friendly to China, the opinion survey also show that more than 90% respondents from Mali want to the government to strengthen the cooperation with China. China is one of the most important partner of Mali, hope the attack would not affect the relationship  in the future between the 2 countries.
